An afternoon walk in Area 1 at Luckley Wood was shrouded in fairly thick fog and mist. Not much seen, mostly heard. Plenty of Jackdaw , a few Blackbird a solitary Song Thrush , Robin , a few Wood Pigeon and a calling Stock Dove.My Area 5 garden feeders produced the usual fare of Goldfinch , Chaffinch, Robin Blue & Great Tit , Wood Pigeon and Collared Dove .Its been the same for the last week. Only other noteable birds Nuthatch , Wren and a Greenfinch .

In Area 4 Paul Bright Thomas saw and heard the following, A Song Thrush singing distantly with another feeding on the ground. A Mistle Thrush feeding on a Rowan tree in his front garden and a Rook low NW over his garden.

In Area 4 Malcolm Dunmore got an early reward for feeding 3 Mallard from the Meadow Rd bridge this morning at 09:00 when a Kingfisher flew from under the bridge downstream and round the bend towards Kingfisher Bridge . As Malcolm said it was so spectacular and iridescent.

Paul Bright Thomas saw a Little Egret moving E along the Emm Brook in Area 4 this morning and a Siskin flew over his garden. In Area 5 a solitary Redwing appeared in my Area 5 garden at dusk.

Ring-necked Parakeets were heard calling over the car park field in Area 10.

In Area 5 my garden feeders were full with Goldfinch, Blue Tit & Great Tit . Also visiting was a Nuthatch . Down by the river a large flock of Goldfinch also contained several Siskin which were feeding on the seeds of the pondside Alder's.
